This was an ezine which Stu Marshall and I conceived near the end of 2006. My wife provided the exquisite photography, while I wrote, laid out and coded pretty much the whole damn thing. In addition to calling in products, organising interviews and editing video content, it all proved way too much work for the idea to be feasible, but I continue to be proud of what we accomplished.
At the time -- and please bear in mind, this was about a decade ago -- I thought switching off anti-aliasing made the heads and things look terribly retro and cool, in that characteristic 8-bit style which is enjoying such a resurgence today. Sadly, in this context, it looks way less hot. Ah well, it’s different, that’s for sure.
